Target Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift/Workdays: 7p 7a and 7a - 7p
Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS and ACLS Certification
Special Skills/Experience Required: 1+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, 1+ years of travel experience preferred
Typical Procedures Performed: The role of the Med Surg/Telemetry nurse (MS/Tele RN) is to provide care for patients by comfortably connecting them to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information. The MS/Tele RN also monitors and interprets this data, assessing any potential health problems and needs, while also developing nursing care plans and maintaining accurate medical records. A telemetry nurse typically works in hospitals or other clinical environments.
